What will Lemon Echinacea Throat Coat (R) do for me?
It provides a protective coating on the membranes that line your throat.*
How do I know it works?
Licorice and marshmallow are demulcents, which soothe irritated mucous membrnaes. Marshmallow is traditionally used for irritation of the mouth and throat and associated dry cough, and echinacea root tea is traditionally used for teh relief of sore throat.
When should I use it?
Drink it as often as needed through the day.
How does it taste?
It's sweet, lemony and viscous (which allows the herbs to coat your throat) with a characteristic tingle on your tongue from the alkylamides in echinacea, which is one of the important indicators of herb quality.
All herbal ingredients include:
- Organic Echinacea purpurea root
- Licorice root
- Licorice root dry aqueous extract
- Proprietary Blend: Marshmallow leaf, organic marshmallow root, organic bitter fennel fruit, organic sweet orange peel, organic cinnamon bark, organic lemon myrtle leaf (backhousia citriodora)
Contraindications: Do not use if you have known allergies to plants of the Asteraceae (daisy) family such as arnica, calendula, chamomile, echinacea or yarrow.
Pregnancy and lactation:Not to be used durin pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
